Its multipurpose attachment hub with a hinged hub cover flips open to allow for easy installation of attachments. The unit's bowl-lift design raises the bowl into the mixing position.
Its solid, truly seamless one-piece motor head design is easy to clean and comes in a variety of fashionable colors. It's very easy to change attachments and clean.
Its soft start mixing feature is a nice touch, as it helps minimize ingredient splatter and flour puff with gentle acceleration to selected speed after start-up.
A minor issue… it's really tall so plan to leave it under a rather high overhead cabinet or on an open counter. Moving this baby to and from some hiding place is going to mess with your back – it's really heavy.
Also, if you don't dry the bowl and beaters after washing, it has a tendency to rust in spots. Don't worry. Just dry the beaters and bowl after each washing and you'll never have that problem.
The paddle, dough hook, and whip attachments are not coated so they can not go in the dish washer. So simply use soap and water to clean it, practically nothing sticks to it anyway.
It doesn't have the lift up action of smaller versions but it just takes some getting used to in order to prepare for the mixing actions.
Some customers claimed that it's rather noisy. But for others, it's actually soft and quiet.
